self potraits

For our Self-Portrait project we were to take three self-portraits. They were all to be in black and white, and they were all to capture a mood of some sort. We were also challenged to be as artistic as possible, and stay as far away from normal, cliche portraits that we see on personal pages etc. as possible. One had to use the rule of thirds as the base for the composition; One had to incorporate leading lines, and one had to be taken from a more extreme angle.
In my photos i do the best of me in my positions i try to demostrate courage .

Contact Sheet

on my contact sheet I just put together all my photos and I try it to pu it in order.someones are verticals but organized .

Compositional Trick #5 Cropping

Cropping is a trick that photographers do all the time, even if they don't realize it. Every time a photographer chooses to cut something out of his/her frame, before they snap the photo, that is in essence cropping. We also have learned tools on Photoshop that allow us to crop an image after we have taken it. When cropping in Photoshop it is possible to improve our composition or change it completely.I select my original photo extreme angles and then i cut it with crop function then I leave space for type my name on the bottom .I liked more the crop picture because iI reduced the photo and on the bottom have my name on it.In photoshop you just go to you tool box and look for crop you selected and then select the part that you want to cut.

Compositional Trick #4 Extreme Angles

For make a extreme angle photo you have to take it from an extreme position with you camera you have to focus the image from the top or the bottom or any place that you can but not in front of the person because that is going to look like a regular picture and is not going to be an extreme angle photo. From my extreme angle photo I liked how my model is standing next to the school logo and I thought that is a good focus not to extreme but is good.

With macro you can see tiny things that you actually can't see with you eyes.
The Depth of Field (DOF) is the portion of a scene that appears sharp in the image. Although a lens can precisely focus at only one distance, the decrease in sharpness is gradual on either side of the focused distance, so that within the DOF, the unsharpness is imperceptible under normal viewing conditions.I liked alot my first image because the flower looks good and I love how the background is blur.

Compositional Trick #2: Leading Lines

when take a picture and a line is pointing to you thas a leading line.for example in my photo one of the lines from the window is pointing to my head and the other is pointing to my hips.

Compositional trick #1: Rule of Thirds

rule of thirds is when you focus something or somebody but not in the center of the photo you focus on the sides of the photo
